The Plattsburgh State Art Museum and the Plattsburgh State Art Department present the annual spring ritual of student accomplishment in the visual arts, the Undergraduate Juried Exhibition 2001. The exhibition is in the Myers Lobby Gallery from March 30 to April 23, 2001.
An exceptional show this year, the exhibition includes 130 works by 47 student artists in sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and ceramics. Growing technical abilities are displayed by each of the participants while they struggle to realize a unique vision and statement. The result of serious application and unique instruction by an exceptional and varied faculty, the work tells the story as nothing else could of real creative activity. The exhibition itself is a student work which was created, juried, installed and presented as a practicum by the Museum/Exhibition Class.
