Flute Stoppers
Flutes and stoppers are sacred objects. Used only by men during the skin cutting (tattooing) and other ceremonies, the sound of the flute is seen as the voice of the spirit. Referred to as ‘children of the crocodile spirit’ the figures represent important ancestors. |
