The photographs in this exhibition are a small representation of the items gifted to benefit the
Plattsburgh State Art Museum, Rockwell Kent Gallery and Collection in 2000, from the Estate of
Shirley (Sally) Johnstone (Kent) Gorton, third wife of Rockwell Kent. The original photos have
been scanned, retouched, and printed in a larger format. In some instances, the image is a detail
of a larger photograph.
Preliminary work on the inventory, scanning and identifying of this collection is underway. We ask our visitors, Kent scholars, and volunteers to view this small exhibit with an eye toward helping us to improve the information we have listed.
