The Friends of Art continue efforts to raise awareness of the Plattsburgh State Art Museum in the general community. We raise money for the Museum through our annual dues and contributions to the Foundation designated for the unrestricted use of the Museum. We are hopeful that our new Promotional Cards, artfully designed by Sally Booth and printed by the printing department of the college, will attract new members and visitors. Keep an eye out as you travel for these smart looking cards!
Our light fixtures for sculptures “Here I Am” and “Harmony” by Harry Gordon and Danny Kainz, respectively, are yet to be placed. Alas, it looks like we may have to wait until the renovation of Hudson Hall is completed. We want all the work done properly so patience is important. We will celebrate...eventually! Marguerite Eisinger, Coordinator of the Docents and Museum Staff Assistant, has been wonderfully supportive of our activities and has provided the docents with our tentative 2006-2007 calendar. We appreciate all that the docents continue to do to make the Museum so welcoming and interesting for visitors.
