Toma mask A note on the map: Several of the ethnic groups represented in this exhibit cover a geographic area which includes more than one modern country. For the sake of clarity they have been listed in the country with which they have been historically associated. Hence, for example, though the Lobi live in a region that includes parts of both Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso, they have been listed as Burkina Faso.
