| Redford Glass Collection Donated by Peg and Wayne Byrne This rare collection of utilitarian and decorative glass displays the craftsmanship and beauty of glass produced by The Redford Glass Company between 1831 and 1851. Although primarily manufacturers of high quality crown window glass, the Redford Glass craftsmen used left over glass melt to create various "off-hand" pieces, including vases, pitchers, bowls, paperweights, canes, and witch's balls. In addition to being revered for its high quality and distinctive blue-green color, Redford Glass is valued as being a unique part of the history of Clinton County. |
