Adirondack Advocacy for Gifted Education Mission Statement
The Adirondack Advocacy for Gifted Education was founded for the purpose of promoting and providing appropriate education and services for gifted children and their parents and teachers.

To this end it seeks to:
foster support for the special needs of gifted children;
support, extend, and interpret the function of gifted education;
improve the understanding and status of gifted education;
promote academic excellence at every level;
encourage creativity, imagination, intuition, critical thinking, inquiry, and problem solving;
provide screening services for the identification of gifted children in the community;
provide education for parents and teachers for enhanced understanding of the educational, emotional, and social concerns of the gifted individual;
provide gifted education resources and materials for the community;
promote, conduct, and utilize research on gifted education;
In order to achieve these goals the AAGE membership will:
maintain a special education facility for identified gifted children in the northern Adirondack area;
maintain an AAGE web site;
maintain a resource room for disseminating information and materials for and about gifted education to all interested parties in the Adirondack community.
